• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Years Day ride

+I had a great ride yesterday joining a small group south of Danbury. Lots of bikes were out everywhere.

It was a 44 when I started out at 9:00, and warmed up to 55 at around 2:00.

The attached shot was taken at the Cold Spring Depot restaurant.

After this, I split to head south to check out Bear Mountain/Harriman State Parks. Perkins Memorial Drive was closed, with a Park Ranger ticketing both traveling and parked vehicles at the entrance. The construction on Seven Lakes Dr. just west of the Long Mountain Parkway circle appears complete. Arden Valley Rd. is closed at the Lake Tiorati circle. (I didn't think to notice if Tiorati Brook Rd. was closed to the east, but that's usually closed all winter too.) Orange County 106 isn't too bad from west of the Kanawauke Rd. circle to about two-thirds of the way to 17A, where some rough paving has left remnants in turns for the rest of the way. Overall, not too bad though.

Here's my route:

I hope the winter stays this way...

Ride on.
