• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Years Day Ride

:ohyea:For the 18th time in the last 17 years some of us crazy old folks headed out on our annual New Years Day ride in Central AR. Our usual destination Mathers Lodge which is in the Petit Jean State Park is closed for a year long renovation. So we picked a little cafe on Hwy 9 south of Morrilton for a meeting point. I arrived a little early and wasn't sure if I had the correct site or was going to be the only show. Finally about 1245 another rider arrived on an 1150 GS, did I mention this is the Naturally Beemers ride, but is open to anyone. I rode BMW's for years until I went to the dark side on Japanese bikes and finally to the Spyder. Anyway a total of 12 showed up on 10 bikes and one Ford PU. Had a good lunch, told and listened to some good stories, kicked some tires and headed home. Did get a little heavy on the throttle heading out and may have left some rear tire and a little blue smoke behind. Beautiful day, blue sky lower/mid thirties and VERY little traffic. Always great to start off the New Year you want the rest of the year to go. Happy New Year to all you Spyder Folks. Congratulations to those that could and did ride and condolences to those in the frozen North. Spring will be her before you know it.
