• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NEW UTOPHIA BACKREST INSTALLED

I have installed two on my Goldwings and you always seem to get that feeling. Oh no here goes, I hope I am doing this right. I have not put one on my spyder yet. I am thinking about replacing the seat. Not sure yet.

I just did the same along with Air Wings
they both make a big difference
you really wonder if you marked it right when you are ready to cut through the seat...
very easy install

Utopia Seat

I would be worried that rain water would go through the hole that has to be cut to install the backrest.

Mine will be shipped on March 5th, and I will have it installed the afternoon it arrives.
I have had them on two previous bikes from Utopia and they are one of the top mods in my book!
:clap::yes::clap:

It has a small patch that covers the hole really well, I also had one on my GL1800 and they are excellent. The Roadster seat is best stock seat that I have had on any bike including the GL1800.

Mark at Diamond seats in Florida has built a couple of seats from my pan and they were very good. My GL seat was built new, with a steal pan, a steal pan is the best you can build from. Time will tell if I redo or replace my seat but for now the stock seat is working well.

I wonder why Utopia dosen't have an ad on the web site. You would think they would have a lot more costumers by doing so. They have such a great product..

Looks GREAT! I looked at the Utopia back rest, but I could not ride on the stock seat over 80 miles without my tailbone killing me. I ended up getting the Corbin seat with back rest which is working out well for me. If I could have handled the stock seat then I would have gotten the Utopia backrest myself. I really like the way it looks!

Installed seat back today

I installed my Utpoia seat back today. The hardest part was lining up the bolts. Took me almost an hour. Removing and installing the seat was quick and not too hard. Next is the side heat blocker panel. Need to go the Harbor Freight tomorrow for a jack. I can't wait to start riding again!!
