New style transmission cover length?

New style transmission filter cover length?

I need to figger out which transmission filter is in my new to me 2010 RS, the new filter cover must be longer, anybody know the length of 1 or the other? I want to make sure I get a new cover if it was not already converted.

Should have a sticker on the oil tank if the longer one is on it.

Here's the thing....

Along the way they changed the trans filter to a larger one . They made the new cover available at the dealers and should have been changed. If yours was not then you will have to get the new cap...:thumbup:

Thats perfect Highway, now I'm wondering if they still include the cover in the oil change kit. I'd rather just buy the cover from dealer and get after market filters and Rotella T 5/40. There is guy off Craigslist selling an OEM SE oil change kit for $40, I hope it is the one with the new cover, I'll ride the 50 miles to get it just for the fun of it.
