A few weeks ago I decided in earnest to purchase myself some new pipes for my RTS, and after some careful reviews of different models and types, I went with the Spyder1Attitude 8-B series (Dualies). Ordered on Monday, they shipped them Wednesday, and they arrived on Friday. Unfortunately for me, I work 3p-11p at the hospital, so I didn't feel like I would have the time to put them on Friday night. Lo and Behold, due to an exceedingly low census count for my department, I was able to head home almost an hour early.
Upon arriving at the house, I enlisted the help of a neighbor to assist in getting the original exhaust off the Phooka. Let me tell you, be prepared. I didn't have a lift available at the time, and it was a nightmare. I have only had the spyder for about 3 months, but in that time, the threads managed to accumulate a bit of surface rust; Combined with the yellowish whatever-it-is-locktite-or-something, it was VERY slow going. :yikes: However, in about an hour's time, we managed to get the original off, and the new pipes installed.
Let me tell you, they make a WORLD of difference in sound. I couldn't resist taking a night ride around less populated back roads, and the spyder no longer sounds like a very angry sewing machine, but more-so like a 'real bike'...meaning it actually has some growl to it now. Pictures will be incoming as soon as it is light enough to do the Phooka justice.
Customer service was a premium from the Spyder1Attitude team, shipping was FAST, and installation was a 'breeze' due to their instructions. I use the term a little sarcastically, but rest assured it is in no way by mean of their fabrication, or their instructions. Thumbs up, Spyder1Attitude! Excellent product! :2thumbs:
