• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:congrats: & :welcome:
If you look toward the top right hand side of this thread page, you'll see the white search box & that will be your best friend here on SpyderLovers, with a treasure trove of information just waiting for you to discover it. I typed in Wireless and Scala and came up with dozens of threads and just posted this one:

If not, search a little for yourself and I'm sure you will soon find your answer. Also, being a New Spyder Owner, may I suggest that you read over this thread as well, as it is the BEST thread I've EVER seen for New Owners wanting to learn as much as they can.

:welcome:

MP3 is easy. Copy MP3 files to your Garmin Zumo 660 from your computer and pair to the headset via bluetooth. I have the same setup but do not use it this way, does not work/sound as good as I would like.

Instead I pair my bluetooth phone with my Zumo and the Zumo with the headset. This allows a very functional interface to the cell phone through the zumo. Call audio is fantastic on both ends, people cannot even tell I am on the road.

I play the radio/ipod mounted in the rear through the RTS speakers which I upgraded for better sound quality.

Radio may possible, probably costly, but I do not know exactly how it would be done. Not sure if the cell phone cable would help but that requires the whole CB and BRP Headset mess$$$$!

Congrats

:congrats::2thumbs::clap::b2b::trike:Welcome! Interested to see what you come up with, I've scala 2s we never installed till bought some vemar Gianos made us realize how easy they were to install. Also bought garmin 665 wound up having to get the accessory harness that I thought made blutooth work, but apparently one has to have their full comm system . So now I use an I pod for music or my vemar will pair with my phone, or my garmin, this experiment hasn't been fully completed.
