• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Welcome aboard. The GO FAST GANG must be out GOING FAST. But never you worry. They will be back soon enough and without doubt will be eager to help you spend your money :)

:welcome::congrats: on your new Spyder . I would put a few miles on it first and see what will make your ride more comfortable for you first. Then the next step is to put your first born up for sale to buy all the mods that are available for the Spyder .:roflblack:

:2thumbs: :congrats: on a wise choice! :firstplace:
As much as I hate to say this; Why not just ride it a while to get some impressions of what your think it might need first? You might find out that it's perfect... :ohyea:

Welcome,
I agree with the others about riding your :f_spider: for a bit to see how it rides. But with that being said most go with
Here's my list
Risers (being first on my list and best thing)
Exhaust (Hindle)
Windshield
Grips
Seat (Corbin)
Floorboards (second best mod for me)
Triple Play
And of course.... Personalized Plate SPYD1

Upgrades are all personal preference .

Do you like proformance ? Pipe , controller and air filter

Do you ride 2 up ? Rear backrest

Do you get a sore butt fast ? Comfort seat

The wind in your face ? Taller touring shield maybe

Differant foot pegs for comfort ?

A cool LED light kit , for night riding and looking cool .

so many things you can do to any machine .

hey poopman

welcome. having done many mods on my bike, i would say read and research each mod before buying anything. goodies are very expensive.you don't want to buy anything you're not going to be happy with, if you can help it . risers and windshield were tops for me, then exhaust and floorboards, and on and on and on. some of us make stuff ourselves. most buy and bolt on. whatever makes you happy. have fun with it and happy trails:thumbup: p.s. i won't even ask about your screen name.

Too bad you missed SpyderFest, there was soooo may mods to choose from. For me Safety means a ride your comfortable on. A great "Comfort Package" is Seal FloorBoards, Elka Shocks, Utopia Backrest and a SpyderPops Heat Shield. Those four mods will give you a truly comfortable ride for those long summer trips. Enjoy your new Spyder and.........

Ride in Comfort,

John
Seal FloorBoard

:congrats: on the new bike and WELCOME to the spyder world. It's awesome.

Mods are a personal issue. I especially like a taller windshield and seat for my first modification.

Since your rear-end is sitting on the bike, the stock seat can become uncomfortable really quick.

And the taller windshield to keep the bugs off ..Yuck! You can always use the sport windshield for those days you want to ride free like the wind. LOL

Plus you can pick up these two items used for a great price.

Then I would consider other options like the back rest (there will always be an opportunity to have someone ride with you). After that it's all pretty much up to your taste and what you want to change.

Congrats on the new bike. If it was mine the first thing I'd put on it would be about 10,000 miles : ) Enjoy the ride.
