• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Spyder Hitch

The only thing I know for sure is that the CIC2 connector has changed for 2018. It has gone from a 10 pin to a 16 pin. That is the connector that the trailer harness Ys into. So the harness from previous years will not fit. But they now offer what they call a module harness. What we have been calling the Y harness. That will make older harnesses compatable.

Interesting....🤔

It does say NEW and the caption is "picture not available" does that mean it is so new they have no picture...:yikes: one would think an old one would have a lot of pictures...:dontknow: but not being a trailering typy of ryder i would have to go with billybovine's post..

Impact absorbing

the old style hitch did good job of being a crumple zone when I was clipped by a out of control car. (Was not rear ended )IMG_6565.jpg the hitch bent where it rubbed sprocket & the fender was cutting tire. The only parts that were touched amazingly as the car clipped me & continued till it Tboned another stopped in my RH blind spot. FYI We were all at a stop light when a hit & run occurred on other side of 4lane hwy. as far as other impacts like the bouncing from being attached to swing arm:dontknow::dontknow:
