There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. New Silver RT is home

Rode the new Silver RT home from the dealer yesterday. After what seemed an endless wait, it came in on Wednesday afternoon and they put it together and serviced it Friday afternoon. The only problem was a code on the computer that turned out to be a sensor left unplugged at the factory but it took them a while to run it down.

I took the long way home from the dealer so it was about 60 miles and the further I rode, the more I liked it. It had been 3 1/2 months since I rode the demo and I had to get used to it all over again. Got home, took the wife out for about 40 miles and it was feeling really good by the time we got home.

I really like the silver. I had seen pictures but mine was the first silver RT I had seen in the flesh. It's a really nice color that will be relatively easy to keep and I have found no flaws in the paint so far. I'm loving it and now we're going riding.

Thanks for all the congrats and thumbs up. Had a nice ride today but, unfortunately only got to ride about 100 miles. Rode about 50 miles through the country and stopped at a friend's house to show off the Spyder when we noticed that the front panel on the right side had blown off. I would not have believed that a panel could blow off and neither my wife or I would notice it but that's exactly what happened. We retraced almost the entire 50 miles in third gear under 40 mph but never saw anything of the panel. Hope it will be replaced under warranty since the dealer put it on and all we did was ride it.

On a more positive note, both of us still love the RT. I kept a close eye on the temperature running in 3rd gear but no problems. At times today the wind was fairly hard and it moved us around a little but nothing drastic. When the wind was behind me, it tracked very well so this one doesn't seem to have any handling problems at all. I have the front shocks in the stiffest pre-load position and that lessens the body roll quite a bit. The brakes are adequate but that's all. It won't stop anywhere near as well as my BMW but, after all, it weighs 300 pounds more.

A lot of orange peel in the paint but my wife, who is a much harsher critic of paint than I am after growing up in her father's body shop, can't find any runs, bare spots or other defects. And she absolutely loves the RT. There were times on our BMW in a cross wind when she had to hold the shield down on her helmet to keep it from blowing up. This fairing keeps her out of the wind, the seat is comfortable, the back rest is good, and at one point she almost deafened me when she just yelled out, "I love this motorcycle." And she's not a novice. She's ridden her own dirt bike for nearly 40 years and ridden behind me on the street for 35.

A few small problems but, all in all, we're both tickled to death with it.

Congrats on your new Spyder

I like that Silver Paint, saw one at my dealer very nice.

I would think your dealer should replace that cover under warranty.

Enjoy & ride safe

Believe it or not I don't own a digital camera and don't even have a cell phone to take pics. I'm gonna have to get a friend to take some pics so I can post them. The silver color is really nice.

Thanks for all the congrats and thumbs up.
