• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New RT Limited owner

Thought I'd chime in as a new owner. I will pick up my 2016 red RT Limited on Saturday. The dealer had to order Serveral items I wanted, so, I ordered it on March 25 and will be ready on the 2nd of April. I plan on this being my last motorcycle purchase so I put on everything I thought I might want put on at a later date.

What did I add, CB, XM, Tri axis handle bars, Backrest, soft side bags, Vented windscreen, Adjustable vent wings, Grip puppies. Called JM audio and got new cables for my helmets as you need cable for the CB. The only two thing I still might add, radiator screens and the GPS lock. It hurt the pocket book but Ill have a minimum of external items for sticky fingers.

I have had two Goldwings a 1982 1100 Interstate and a 2008 ABS Navi. Weight and age (mine) are the reason I desired the Spyder was a smart choice.

Next thing is to meet the Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Tampa Spyder group and ride.:coffee:

Welcome & Congrats

:welcome:and :congrats:. You will love your RT. We've had two RT's and the 1330 triple is a great engine for that machine. Enjoy...you will definitely feel the difference when riding your Spyder vs. a Wing. I like both...but as you.....age is catching up with me so I hope I can ride the Wing at least 5 more years before we go full time to the Spyder RT.

It looks like a great package you have on order and I can tell you that the Tri-Axis handlebars really worked for me. I use to get a stiff neck and sore upper back by having to reach too far for the handlebars - now with the Tri-Axis, no more pain! We have ridden all day (around 600+ miles) without any issues.

Enjoy your new RT and give yourself time to get used to this awesome 3 wheeler vs. your 2 wheel riding!

Welcome to our little corner of the Web... :2thumbs:

And now: the fun starts!!!:yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

Welcome! There is an active group of riders based roughly out of Largo/Seminole on meetup.com. You might want to link up with them for some group rides. The is also a new group of Spyder riders forming a West Coast Florida chapter and holding their first ride Sunday April 3rd leaving from Valrico and riding to Arcadia for BBQ. You can find them here http://www.usspyderryders.com/fwcevents.

JM make a upgraded CB antenna and it's well worth the money. It turns a POS Can Am CB radio into a great radio. I ride with a bunch of Gold wing riders and with the upgraded antenna everything work absolutely great. Before the antenna upgrade the CB was absolutely worthless. Its a shame that can am cannot make an antenna that works with their own radio. That is the only complaint I've ever had about my two Spyders.
