New Ride: 2024 RT Limited Hyper Silver

Hello Members! New Spyder RT Owner (and new member) here.

I have been reading and researching and decided to pick up a 2024 RT Limited in Hyper Silver.
Only dealer-installed options are the rider backrest and passenger arm rests.
Just took delivery on Saturday Aug 9.
I added foam grip covers, screen protector, wide-angle mirrors and will add a few more items as a I go along and get used to the Spyder.

I have been riding on two wheels for a bit, and feeling less and less comfortable, and so decided to head the 3-wheel route.
Looked at Slingshots. Very cool looking and not for me.

So far quite happy with the Spyder!

Be sure to read the manual completely from the front cover to the back cover. Multiple times also. Make sure you understand how to check the oil levels in these wet clutch engines. It is nothing like any other engines I have ever owned. Ryde the Spyder for about 10 miles then idle for additional 10 minutes, turn off, then immediately pull the dipstick to wipe it off and reinsert to check oil level. I believe the manual says one has two minutes to check the oil level after shutting down, but do it quickly after turning off the engine. NEVER overfill or check on a cold engine. NEVER.

The 1330 engine is a good engine that doesn't seem to use oil between oil changes either. So long as the oil fill is in the cross/hatch area of the dipstick you are fine. It helps me to see the oil level by placing it on a white paper towel behind the dipstick, along with being outside in the bright sunshine.

Plan on taking extra time for short errands. AKA the wife sent me to the drug store for meds the other day. The drug store is around 4 miles away but of course I took a longer way just to ryde. Gosh it took me 55 miles to reach the store. Great time on the spyder.
