• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Passsenger armress for the RT

When my Dealer was at the unveiling in September: he KNEW that I'd want a set of them. He's already got them coming!:yes::yes:

Install of armrests

Wonder what the install will involve?

Is it a major undertaking or a simple remove and replace type part?

I was wondering about the install myself, the rivco armrests are 299.99 so these aren't that overpriced.Going to try to get to a dealer and find out more about them.

i have a friend that has them, very nice but a little high for his wife. I think he said it took the dealer around two hours and theybroke his antanae in the process. If you look closely the entire black plastic case is part of the armrest and replaces your existing ones.

Very Nice....

Installation should be easy enough but I do wonder if they both flip up or only one side....:dontknow: there are others similar out there but not with the flip up feature...

Install looks pretty straight forward, just time consuming. As are most things on the Spyder. I think they are going to be too high for my wife.

I just finished the install a couple of days ago. Yes, it's a pretty basic job requiring that you remove the rear body panel, passenger backrest and armrest/speaker side panels. The only part that is replaced is the soft cushion part on top of the armrest/speaker panel. If you have a stock passenger backrest it's a real simple job...but does take some additional work if you have a custom backrest.

Both armrests flip-up and out of the way. The wife loves it :clap:and the height is perfect for her ... think the added cushion that the Ultimate seat provides raises her up high enough to not poise a height problem that was mentioned earlier in the thread.

Aloha!
