• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello,I just registered here because I bought my wife a Spyder and there is a lot of info here.

I bought her a used 2011 RT SE5 Limited,Pearl white.
The guy we got from was 83 years old, bought it new in 2011 and only rode it 1500 miles. He had the GPS,all the luggage and two covers.

My wife has rode it for about 300 miles so far with no problems. She had balancing issues on two wheels so this will work fine.

:welcome: and :congrats: on your recent purchase. It sounds like you got an almost new "used" :spyder2:.:thumbup:

One thing I found out today.........the difficulty of checking the coolant!

My hand barely fit in there to remove the cap, even harder to reinstall it.

Welcome to both of you. Mark sure your wife check out Girls on Spiders on Facebook. It is for us girls only. It's a great bunch of ladies. Your wife has many miles of smiles ahead.

Welcome to Spyderlovers. One of the things that you will learn about doing maintenance on a Spyder is that you have remove body panels to gain access to everything. To get better access to the filler neck of the radiator a panel to too needs to be removed. Ask your tech next time you are at your dealer how.

Congrats on adding a great machine to the family. I see you got a WHITE 2011 rt, that is a great choice even the guys here who drive Blue ones red ones Grey or yellow ones will attest to the fact that white is the nicest color:roflblack::roflblack:. And yes there is a lot of info on this site, you can pretty much learn any thing about these Roadsters here.

Congrats to your wife on her new RT!

If she is on Facebook at all, we'd love to have her join our ladies-only group called Girls on Spyders. Lamont was kind enough to put a link on his Home page under the Friends section on the bottom right. Just click our logo and it will take you to our page so she can request to join.

Glad she's enjoying the ryde! :D
