• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New HD at our house

My brother, Stony Rodent, traded his Honda for a 2004 HD Ultra Classic Electra-glide Screaming Eagle. He was with me at the Chevy dealer when I bought my truck and they had it in the showroom. So we went back today and he bought it.

Point taken. I was trying to give the most information in one sentence. They have more than one Screaming Eagle model. I could have said "FLHTCSE", But would that have made any sense here?

You did good! For some of us, the FLHT... would have been an indicator of a Harley something--but I would not have been able to go beyond that.

Nice looking bike. I like it very much, and I do miss the "big iron" stuff. My current limitations wont let me do those 1000# two wheelers any more.

What not a Spyder!!

Gee Patti, I thought that by now that you would have talked Rockey into getting a Spyder.
I hope he enjoys his toy as much as you do you Spyder.

He likes my Spyder . . . for me. He had a Honda VTX1300Retro that he really liked. He bought it because he couldn't afford a HD, and it had the look he wanted. He's always been a Harley guy and was just waiting for the right bike to come along that he'd want to go for. Apparently this one is special enough for him. It's one of 3500 produced that year, built by hand by one person from beginning to end. I just hope that guy knew what he was doing! nojoke It is 103 cubic inch (almost 1700cc). He says it has a lower center of gravity than his Honda.

But he's never ridden one that big. His knees aren't what they used to be and I just hope he'll get to ride it for the entire length of the loan.
