• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New F3 Fails to shift from neutral to first .

I just picked up my first Spyder F3 Limited today. I rode it around a little and trying to learn about everything. Sitting in driveway, twice it refused to shift from neutral to first. I would shift from neutral to reverse, then ok. Otherwise I had to shut off ignition and restart. It rides GREAT!!! What did I do wrong? Doesn't do it all the time. But, it's got only 2.9 miles on odometer.

I doubt it. Do you have to have foot on brake to shift from neutral to first. Like I said, first Spyder... guess I'' read the manual tonight.

Anyhow, thanks for the input... I'm guessing that you do have to hold brake pedal while shifting from neutral to first. This Spyder is going to be great...

I have an RTL and when I start out I have to be on the brake. I hope that your problem is that simple, I think it is.

Yes, SE6 F3 limited. Took the wife on a short ride and we were both amazed at the ride and power... I took a test ride before we ordered, and saw that it was right for me.

I had the dealer install passenger armrests and position 5 linkage for footboards. It sets perfect. Have Lamonster's highway pegs and third pegs to install.

:congrats: on the new bike. :nopic: and let me know if the brake was the issue Please. I hope your enjoying the forum and all the information here.

Agreed beautiful bike, and we’ve all done the brake thing and the kill switch thing and the forgot the emergency brake thing...... lol there are lots of others involving wallets and phones too!

Did the kill switch too today, till wife leaned over and asked if that was the case... I'm ready to put on some miles.

Hi AR,

Re: till wife leaned over and . . .

You might want to consider keeping her.:yes::yes:

After all is said & done, we've all made every stupid mistake possible with these things.

I hope you like your Spyder as much as I like mine,

I had Monster Fuel Injection perform the stage 2 upgrade on my 2015 F3's. It sure is nice to be able to start the engine without pushing a button--needing sit in the saddle to depress the brake. Just turn the key & it starts--needs to be in neutral & I don't remember if the parking brake was set on--weather hasn't permitted a road test yet--Monday it's predicted to be in low 50's & I'm ready.

What year is your F3 Limited? I got one just like yours, same color. Mine is a 2017. What part of Arkansas are you located?

another hang up, is if you leave in 1st gear and shut off, to start back up, you will need to put foot on BRAKE TOO!!! then you will have learned ALL 3 of the "my spyder won't start shenanigans"
