• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. New Cardo Systems Scala Rider G9 Bluetooth and upgrades for G4

Cardo Systems came out with the G9. http://www.cardosystems.com/us/scala-rider/scala-rider-g9
If you want to see the differences between that and the G4, click the comparison. But to summarize, it can connect to 9 riders, has a new scala communnity feature, faster pairing, and voice command. One thing you dont see there is there is a new removable mic and better speakers, And guess what, we can use that base on our G4. I saw on Cardo's facebook that it will work on this base.
a G4 unit will fit into the G9 Audio Kit - giving you the interchangeable mic options and HD speakers

So, when the G9 audio kit comes out we can basically get the removable mics and the better speakers for the G4. Now how much better this will be, who knows. Looks as though it will sell in retail for 50-60, so will it be worth it? I will probably get one on my helmet and give a review down the line. Here is a pre-order:

Would be great for the Fl Xpress on the way to Spyderfest. That way at least we can talk to doc, even if we can't see him.

The "odd ball" SR-10 looks interesting to me as I'm a ham radio operator. It has connections to most brands of handie-talkies of ham radios.

Sena SMH10 at Spyderfest

Anyone interested in the Sena SMH10 will be able to purchase one at my Big Ear booth at Spyderfest. Retail for Dual set is $400. Spyderfest price will be $299.

On a side note, I emailed Cardo to confirm all of this, as well asked if any new software updates were coming out for the G4. Will let you know what the response is.

Love my Sena .. especially all the options for mics, speakers, earbuds, etc.

Glad Cardo is catching up... but I'll stick with my Sena for now.

Thanks for keeping us informed on this, Hawk.

I'm hoping their new software update will resolve several issues. We still have to raise our voices considerably to overcome the AVC threshhold on our G4 sets.

Just got the reply from Cardo:

Thank you for contacting the Cardo Systems Support Center.
We dont have a release date for this part yet. It will work with the G4. The G9 will not work with the Audio Kit that was made for the G4, however.
The G9 Audio Kit comes with two interchangeable microphones, one boom and one corded. There are some other design changes to the speakers, cradle and microphones over those that come with the G4.
We do not have the model number yet.
No word on wether there will be further updates for the G4.
Please feel free to contact us if we can assist with any other questions.

Just an update. These are in stock at various places. I got mine in and will do a write up in a day or so once I can get to it.

Lamont,

How dare you use this forum to sell your old crap :gaah::shocked::joke::roflblack:!!!

What did you replace them with and how do you like them?

I went with the SENA but I haven't used them enough to give a good report on them. I do like that they seem to pair up better than the Cardo and I like the big knob for the volume control. I can turn these up too loud and that's a good thing. I'll be using them this weekend with the wife so I'll be able to report back then.

Let us know. Especially with jumping from nav prompts, music, etc to intercom if you have it set up that way. Those look like they are glove friendly with the wheel.
