• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Alignment Specialist
For those of you who are interested, there is an authorized dealer that has the brand-new ultra-touring windshield by BRP for $265 shipped for either the 23" or the 25" size...

This is the same dealership that offers the hindle for $430.00 delivered.

If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll get you in touch with them.

Please note that the retail is 299.99...

This is a great deal!!!!!

Why not post the info here and save you and us some time?
Why is it a secret?

Okay, it's not a secret...I was originally asked by the previous person at the dealership not to openly post the number as the prices were ridiculously good.

However, the new person at Mosites Motorsports, Mike Iannuzzi, doesn't mind...however, please remember that the prices for the spyderlovers ARE cheaper...so, please mention the board for the best prices...cold calls will not get the same deal.

Mike is a great guy and many here can attest to how well he has taken care of them. He will offer steep discounts on any/all BRP products...

Enjoy!

The number is 800-228-5765.

Let me know how it goes...

Because you're younger than you are.

Like I always tell my kids, "When I was your age, I was older than you..."

I think anything over $175 for that shield is too much. That new Givi looks better and is only $130.

I don't know about that...the BRP is nice polycarbonate with excellent hand protection and will push the airflow over your head...not too bad...it is also really nice looking...I'm trying to figure out if it has a Spyder logo (Y) in red in the front of it...if so, nice touch...the windshield also apparently includes side deflectors...very cool!!

I'll likely get one...when I do, I'll do a review here...

Ultra Touring Windshield Kit (23") (25")

The Ultra Touring Windshield is the complete wind and weather system. The windshield and integrated side deflectors system provides maximum upper and lower screening protection. It is made of Quantum hard coated 4.5 mm Lexan polycarbonate. It also reduces turbulence for long distance comfort and utilizes existing mounting points for clean finish and easy install.

Integrated side deflectors add to full-body rider and passenger wind protection. They are included with Ultra Touring Windshield.
23" (Size ideal for drivers 5’10" (1.75 m) tall and under)
25" (Size ideal for drivers over 5’10" (1.75 m) tall)

It will be interesting to see one in person. The Givi is also made of Polycarb. I can't stand the warped arcryllic ones like the F1.

I'd sure like to see them offer the side deflectors separately.

Yeah, Scotty, I would too.

I imagine somebody here might decide to sell them separately after they get the set and try 'em out for a while.

I (and others) have not been terribly impressed with the (apparent) wind tunnel testing on the ultra sport, sport, and touring shields. They look nice enough, but sure aren't effective... :dontknow:

Who knows how well this "set" was engineered.

I've had those thoughts myself. Why they kicked up the top of the standard shield and not the touring shield is beyond me. Still this one has been in development a long time, and adding the deflectors shows they are at least thinking. I suspect they did a lot of road testing, at very least.
