• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New BRP Seat

Has anyone seen the new BRP comfort seat? It looks as good if not better that the Corbin....Unfortunately they are on backorder....Check it out in the accessory section on the BRP website....also their new ultimate touring windshields are out, but are also backordered.....bummer

Take care all,

It would be nice if it is as good as the Corbin. The stock seat was very uncomfortable to me after 30 minutes (or so), so I got the Corbin. Expensive? Yes. Worth it to me? Yes.

If the new BRP seat is better, that would be great! I love the Spyders and I want them to rule!!!

Today is the first time I rode 70 miles in one go. I know, not much compared to some of you. I'm still a newbie getting the hang of things. This was my longest ride yet!!!!

Anyway the last few miles was not so kind to my butt. I had to put all my weight on the pegs a few times to ease the pressure. I'm beginning to see why those of you who really pour on the miles don't like the stock seat. Up till today I raved about the stock seat. Now, not so much!

The stock seat is fine for most everyone...but, it seems like most of us (me included) like to spend money to get more and more things...for instance, the stock lights actually work and are legal :D, but I swear by NMN's lights and how much better they are...the stock ones are fine, but not for me!!!!!;)

As far as windshields, seats, etc...what BRP gives us is fine, but we'll likely all eventually make a change...that's what is so great about this bike...we can do so much to it to make it uniquely our own!

Enjoy...BTW, the new BRP seat does look good...let's see what everyone says!

Yup Dynamo, that is how I was too. I was sure the stock seat was so comfortable until I went for a few long rides. Valcourt and Gatlinburg convinced me that I needed my Russell Day Long.

So... WHile you are watching TV tonight, slap that puppy on the couch and sit on it for a coupel of hours and let us know how it feels!

:agree:

Yup - I had 5,500 miles or so on my Spyder before I sprung for the Corbin. The stock BRP seat is too soft and spongy for long rides. I used to get really chaffed up if I rode much more than an hour. Now can go hours and hours and no problems!
