• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Needing help with Scala Rider G4's

Hope this is in the right forum, as I wasn't sure to post it here or the Off Topic forum. Anyways, purchased some very cool Scala Rider G4's to use on the Maggie Valley trip from FWBCRUISER. Far as I can tell, they work great. I was able to talk clearly to my other biker friend @ 80mph, amazing stuff. But I've ran into problems when I'm using bluetooth. I think perhaps I'm missing something, I dunno. What my wife is wanting to do is stream her music over bluetooth, which we can do fine, BUT I assumed we would be able to use the intercom at the same time. I also thought I could listen to the GPS while still being able to talk to her over the intercom. Ideally, when going to Maggie Valley, she would be listening to music, while I would be listening to my GPS, and still be able to talk to each other. It seems as though once we have the intercom going, we cannot get the bluetooth working. On the other hand, if we get the bluetooth working, the intercom will not work until I press the A channel button, which starts the intercom, but stops the bluetooth. I've been fiddling with this for the past couple hours, and am almost at my wits end! Any assistance would be helpful!

That's what I had come to think. Now my question would be, if she is listening to her music, and I want to talk to her via the intercom, how do I go about that? I noticed that the A button is also labeled MP3, however, while the intercom is up, pressing A doesn't seem to switch to the MP3. According to the manual, that should be how we switch, correct?

You should be able to talk to her and listen to the GPS. What is her music source? She cannot listen to music from the gps is you are connected to the gps. She should be able to connect to her music source via bluetooth and talk to you though. Your GPS is going to take priority. If you are talking to her, the GPS will interrupt and give you directions. If you talk to her, it will interrupt her music. Look in your manual for the priorities. Some music source will not auto connect back to her if interrupted. I prefer to listen to music via Pandora on my cell phone and talk to her when need be. I cannot have the GPS and my cell connected and listen to both. So I just watch the GPS when I approach a decision. If I'm going through an area that requires lots of GPS instructions, I pair the GPS and turn off my cell with Pandora and concentrate on getting where I'm going.
BTW, the intercom is bluetooth as well. Call Cardo systems and have them walk you through it if you need to. They have had good support in the past.

Interesting, we both have Android phones. I have a Note 2, she has a Galaxy S2. I'll be using the GPS on my phone, and she listens to MP3s on hers. I saw the priorities in the manual. I think I may have to read the manual again.

I misunderstood. I use a Gamin GPS. Sometimes, after a conversation with wife my music won't begin again and I have to push play on Pandora. I don't know if its Pandora or the G4. I don't know why it doesn't work. I would call Cardo Systems. I have an Android phone as well. I tried the GPS on the phone a few times and didn't like it but as I recall, when the GPS issued instructions, it would mute the music but the music started again. Good luck. See you at Maggie Valley.
