Need Trailer Advice

Good morning Spyderlovers!

Well, it looks like I missed the killer closeout incentives for the leftover 2012 RT-622's, so I'm looking for alternatives.

Does anyone have any experience with the site vendor Mini Trailer USA? I was looking at the Wanderer or the Prowler.

I really like what I see from this company, as the trailer could pull double duty with my truck as well.

I have 2 friends that have them and have pulled them many miles with ZERO problems. They also are a SL sponsor which is great too!

Pete, I saw you at the BBQ. I was with SteveMac. We both have An Americas Best trailer. They seem to be quite comparable to the Site Sponsors units. I think they're also about the same price. I pulled it over 3000 mi this year & you hardly even notice its there. Good luck on your search. Dick

I'm not challenging what you say about the killer incentives for the 2012 622 Trailers being gone, but I do think that there are still some good deals out there available. My dealer is working with me on a package deal for my 2013 RT-S and it includes just this trailer. Although I haven't signed on the dotted line, I do expect to have some savings with this package. I've been told that the 2013 622 trailers won't be available until sometime in March. Therefore, I chose to get the 2012 and paint it "tweety" yellow. (or did I go with "chaquita"?)

Dick, these appear to be very similar to the Mini Trailer models. Are they the same manufacturer? Which model did you and Steve go with?

Hello Spyder lovers:doorag:.....my name is Robin Russell, I own Grand lake Fabrication, AKA www.minitrailerusa.com we've sold over 50 trailers to just spyder people in the lasst year, not to mention all other bike riders. Built and sold over 350 trailers in the year 2012 so far. Our trailers give you great value for your dollar as well they are built to last. We have many people that have 50,000 miles on them with no trouble.
Its not hard to do a setup for the spyder at all..I've had several guys from this board come by and pickup their trailers up here. They found hitchs for 150.00 and the wiring all though they had to make it up themselves they said it was not hard at all. There is a trailer out there that looks alot like ours but is a import. you can tell if its ours real quick by looking at the corners above the bumper, if it has diamond trim around the corners and along the botom along with the fenders bolting direct to the body then its ours! if it DOES NOT:yikes: then its a china import. There is a company importing trailers and copying several other companies products they are sub quaility and they do not stand behind them, if you read their warranty it says five year but then omits the most important thing in fine print the axles, ours has a five year which includes the axles. There is a spyder or two on our site, I'll try and upload the picture here but its large. we are having a winter sale right now. so take a look see I know you'll enjoy our trailer for the years to come. www.minitrailerusa.com
