I'm looking for routes and sightseeing suggestions for Sept.
In Sept-Oct, I'm doing a big round-robin tour to the NorCal rally, the Red Rocks rally and then the Texas Hill Country rally. I'm taking US 50 from central Kansas to Sacramento and then going to the NorCal event. Then, on the way to Red Rocks I want to see Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia and Death Valley national parks. Here's my idea:
What are your ideas? What's the best way to see Death Valley?

Here's my idea:
- From Tuolumne on 108 and US 395 to the east side of Yosemite. Then 120 back to the west side and do the Yosemite Valley. This will be about 3-4 days. If time is an issue, I'll just go directly to Yosemite Valley first.
- Hwys 41, 180 and 108 to Kings Canyon & Sequoia.
- Cut east through the Sequoia National Forrest and go into Death Valley NP from the west on hwy 190. I'd want to spend at least a couple days there is conditions permit. There's lots to see in Death Valley NP but a couple things can't be reached on a Spyder (like the Racetrack). I'll be there 2-4 weeks before their real season starts and I'm afraid it'll be too hot. If I can find a tour company to take me to the places I want to go, I'd consider that for at least part of the experience.
- Any extra time I have I'll waste away in Vegas, maybe.
