• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need more advice

I really appreciate the advice given on this site and the expertise of the members so I'm back for more. A couple of weeks ago I posted a story of how my bike started throwing codes for no reason. The opinions were that it could be a computer glitch or outside electrical interference. I took it to the dealer with the codes still showing but they couldn't find anything wrong. I've been riding it for a couple of weeks now and the steering in the curves just didn't seem right. It felt like it did before the DPS update, like it was searching for center, especially on the wide sweepers. Yesterday, at about the same time in the afternoon, at the same place, (I-195 outside of Trenton, NJ) it threw the same codes, C0051, U0122 and C006C and went into limp mode. I saw what I think is a power generating plant about a mile in the distance. I had gone through this area earlier in the day, in the opposite direction, with no problem and I have ridden here quite a few times with this bike and haven't had problems. I was able to reset the computer by removing the key for a couple of minutes and rode to the dealers where it remains. I failed to mention in my earlier post that shortly before the first breakdown I had some work done on the bike. New rear wheel, wheel and swing arm bearings and an oil change. I didn't mention it at the time because I saw no relation between the two. But, is it possible that the service had some effect on the bike that caused the codes? Does the steering have to be re-calibrated when the rear wheel is removed? Is there something on the bike that prevents outside electrical interference that may have not been put back on during service?

The work done should not have affected the VSS communications or the steering sensor. I suspect a wiring or connector issue, or a bad VCM, and possibly also a bad steering sensor. I would also check for bad main electrical grounds. Ungrounded components are more susceptible to RF interference. Your dealer needs to dig much deeper. These are serious problems that compromise your safety. The fact that you experienced steering anomalies during your ride indicate that there is a serious issue. I'd have your tech contact Kurt at BRP.

Hey, does anyone know how this played out??? I got this last night on Teds Red Sled

:dontknow:Unlike the OP though, we didn't seem to have any unusual steering issues:dontknow: and I double checked all the Fuses & Relays which seemed to all be well seated, but when we restarted, all was well again:D Should I be worried:dontknow::shocked::helpsmilie:
