Need help with reassembly of grips

hey everyone

I have put a set of heated grips on my f3. When I took them apart a spring and black plastic wedge came out of the right side grip assembly and I for the life of me can't figure out how to get it to go back in right. I see the hole inside the grip that the spring latches in but how does the wedge go in? Any pics or great descriptions would be awesome. I've searched google and on here. I'm either using the wrong keywords or there isn't any info posted on the subject.

I just posted a thread about throttle issue you might read and consider. nevertheless billybovine posted a picture of the breakdown that might help with the assembly. shop manual onlline will be a big help for all the diy work you have planned....:thumbup:

I posted a comment in a heated grips thread about a month ago, after installing the heated grips on my wife's F3-T. I think the short version was to twist the throttle slightly with it loose from the handlebar so the hole in the bottom of the recess aligns with the slot in the black plastic spacer. As I recall, I couldn't get the two aligned with the grip hard mounted to the bar. Take a look back about a month for a heated grip thread.

I think the wife and I rode through your area this afternoon on our way from DFW east. We're head to the Smoky Mountains tomorrow. We picked up 72 off of 385 so we could get off of the interstate and head up 129 tomorrow afternoon.
