• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need confirmation about battery

Alright "experts"...I think I already know the answer to my dilemma, but figured I'd ask anyway. 2011 Rt on the original battery will not start. It's been hooked up to a tender thru the 12v plug after every ride this year(yes, still riding in Texas...sorry!). Unfortunately, turn the key today, hit the starter and nothing but a blank/white screen and the gauges started to dance around. Then I figured I'd jump it with the car and I would get the electronics to come up, but as soon as I hit the starter, I could hear the click but it never turned over, and the screen would go blank/white and reboot. Checked all the fuses and made sure all relays were seated. Haven't pulled any tupperware as of yet, because I believe it to be a dead battery. Just wondering your thoughts and if there was anything else to check before a flatbed comes to the rescue. Or I have an issue with the tender because it says the battery is charged(stupid little green light)!

Somebody who real knows something will be shortly to give a real answer, but I suspect bad ground. Where did you attach jumpers ?

I did the jump under the seat, gave it enough juice to power the screen, but no crank. I have disassembled the left side and pulled the battery. I put it on the charger the real way now, we'll see. The thing that has me confused is the charger claims it's good after about 15 min. Maybe it's just that shot and its a false read? Crappy way to start the weekend, but it beats snow! Just hoping it's the battery and not a little electrical gremlin living beneath the plastic!

Loose or corroded connection.

:agree: Check your connections to make sure they are making contact and or not corroded.
Also, if you suspect the battery, take it to a battery store and they can run a full test. Just because the tender says it is charged it is probably not holding the charge fully.

Depends..!

tender may be bad or not getting a good connection. Batteries will show a surface charge only but have no cranking amps and can go from 1 year on up. The fact the jump start did not work make me think you have faulty connections. Ground straps and at the terminals..

Battery

Cleaned everything and tightened everything possible, no luck. Think the battery is shot! Not a lot of room under there to get that bugger out. Lost a little blood!

Go new battery or go home by rollback

It's time to put in a new battery. While you're in there, direct wire your battery tender pigtail to the battery and access it by raising the seat.

battery

I had a batt. tender on my lawn mower. It too had a green light but the batt. was dead as a hammer.
I think the batt. was about 4 years old. Replaced it and was good to go.
I have Schumacher SP 3 with a digital readout on the Spyder will see how it does.

Had that happen with the pickup awhile back. Guess when the battery decides to go it's gone even with the tender
