• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need a trailer hitch for a 2020 RT Limited with wiring harness

A hitch from an RT or an F3T/F3LTD will fit. You will need to purchase the wiring harness which is currently on back order.

From the replies I have seen it seems the waiting line is forming to the right..........;)

Fixed it for you Ed  Auto correct musta dropped the FAAAAR bit out before you hit submit!

If it wasn't so obviously annoying & such a drag for those waiting, waiting, and still waiting, it'd almost be funny?!? Or should that be 'hysterical'?!?

I hear ya. Last I heard from my parts guy is June 18th.

Trailer lights are kind of a luxury, I crossed the country a few times with no trailer lights when the ‘grounding harness’ issue was happening in 13 or 14 and I lived! No tickets either, of course it helps to have a tail gunner that knows where you’re going and can communicate with you.

Yeah, Ann, but that was when you had an RT. Your RT tail lights were high enough and could be seen from the rear. Not so much with the F3, especially without a top box. And now the 2020 RT has the same lower lights as the F3. Trailer lights are a necessity.

BRP has a fine business with people standing in line to buy even for the future. Can't make enough product, what a program.

Yep, just trying to inject a small amount of humor into rather somber situation. Been there and done that on a few items. :joke:

I took a look at the 2020 RT hitch install instructions. It comes with a hitch. It's the same as previous models and years. Also comes with a new fender. It has notch cut out of it to allow the hitch to fit. That is similar to the F3 hitch kit. Then there is the wiring harness. It is not at all the same in how it connects to the previous models of Spyder. So none of the harneses from previous years will fit this way.

If you use the hitch from past years you will need to cut the lower fender/mudflap for clearance (I did this on our 2018 F3L), and these are the parts (wiring harness) needed to have lights.
