• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fairly new Ryder here, and am going to the Hot Springs Rally, leaving pretty early (7:00ish) May 17th. If her back allows, I will have my girlfriend riding rear. Considering riding with someone, or as a group.... I still haven't figured out if I like the freedom of riding solo, or the comradery of riding with others more yet.

Reply or PM me if you want to ride together, and let's talk.

Two to 4 is about the biggest group I’d wanna travel with. If end up as part of a bigger group, I try to find a couple others and form our own separate small group to travel to the destination either ahead of or behind the main group. Too many things to go wrong in a large group. And, you are only as safe as the least competent rider in the group …

My 02. Riding solo with a partner is great. You can stop where and when you want. Things seem to fall apart when you join up with someone that sticks to "their way" of riding and it sometimes is not "your way" of riding. Patience can be a factor.

Based on how we like to vacation (alone), I'm probably going to concur with you. However, I've only done a couple rides with 1-2 other bikers, and those went very smoothly. So I don't have enough experience yet to say one way or another. There's something to be said to having a pilot, and just riding, rather than watching GPS all the time.

Bumping for meet & greet. Getting people together before the rally talk out some interest, ryde styles & routes Help keep things civil & fun
