• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Myrtle Beach Spyder Rally interest?

We called today to make reservations at the "supporting campground" because I need a very large spot for my rig and they didn't know anything about this event. They took $100.00 deposit and said that they would send an invoice after the first of the year (2014) once they knew what the prices would be for the year. Dunno, but they sound a little unorganized. Hope I am not going to regret this. Thought they would have had a group rate or something.

Sent from the corner of walk and don't walk....

It is coming together if you sign up you will get info emailed about the campground.

I will probably be there. I would like to go to Spyderfest, but it is a long haul from here, and the timing sucks for me, being so close to the end of the month. It is really difficult for me to take off from work, as we have to do end of month processing, and I would not be back in time. The MB rally is much more doable, both in terms of travel time and timing.

I met the organizers in person during bike week this year, and they seem like nice folks. I got the impression that they purchased their Spyder and began to plan their rally, unaware of existing rallies. I don't think they even knew about SL until later.

Regardless, I just plan to go to MB, drama free. Events are for fun, not animosity.

I've been thinking on this thread. I've made a decision that if I go to any event this coming year around that time, it will be Myrtle Beach. I plan on allowing for 10 days just as I did with Spyderfest and the Owner's Event this year. This will give me plenty of time to see the Eastern Seaboard and some of the interesting cities along the way and in the area.
