Dealer contacted me this morning to tell me that the Spyder just arrived. It rained on the way up to the dealer but the sun came out as soon as we arrived. I had a really nice 60 mile ride home. Now that I have a real ride under my belt, I definitely see why some people like the mirror extenders and larger windshield. The turbulence was right at my chin, though all I needed to do was occasionally tuck a bit to relieve that. Other than that, it feels like it was pretty much made to fit me.
I have to highly recommend my dealer. Russ at HK Powersports in Manchester, NH was great. He kept in touch with me regularly and always returned my calls. I got my Spyder in just over 3 weeks from when I ordered it, and got it for $16499 out the door including the 3 year Best warranty.
My first aftermarket purchase will likely be an alarm since I'll be parking it in a city fairly often. Beyond that, I'm not sure. There's definitely a whole lot of things that are tempting me. I just need to keep from going too crazy so my husband doesn't kill me too much.
