• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just noticed it missing the other day and it looks like it broke off.

I have a picture from a parts breakdown but, I cant tell which part it might be.
Can anyone help out?

It is the whole plastic part thats next to the foot rest.
The part with the Can-Am logo is still there

The part you are referring to is called the Left Water Deflector Assembly but, as CopperSpyder said, we must know your year and model of your Spyder. There are associated bolts and push pins that hold the assembly in place too that you may or may not need. The left and right sides of a motorcycle are always referred to in relation to the rider sitting on the vehicle.

Wow, I have removed that WING and it has a few+ attachment points .... I don't how it could have just fallen off .... ( unless it wasn't put on properly in the first place ie. dealer error ???? ) ..... Mike

I ride to work in the early morning hours and a week or so ago I ran over something on the highway that I thought was a giant piece of plastic.

Don't know if I ran over something that broke it off or what. It was already missing the plastic cover/insert on the inside when I bought it.

So you are talking about the black plastic 'wing' or 'water deflector' and not about the part above that which you can pull off/out to access the ECU on later models or the oil reservoir on 2013's & earlier?? :dontknow: That's a pretty big chunk of plastic to run over!!

Go to this BRP web site and drill down to the 2016 RT family: https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en/shop/for-sale/parts-iframe.html. You want to look at display 09, Body and Accessories - Side Panels. Look at the picture and click on Item #92 wherein you will see that both the left and right water deflectors are listed along with the various bolts which should still be on your bike. Also look at and click on Item #102, the left and right side grills. One of those might be the part you said was missing on the bike when you bought it. When you click on an item number it will bring up the BRP part number, cost and quantity of each item.
