• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My review of the Element Fastrack Bluetooth Helmet

Looks great...
Bluetooth was very easy to sync to my iPhone.
The speakers are attached to the helmet straps, so when you try to put it on, it sticks you in the side of the head. Very uncomfortable. I wear an XL and my girlfriend who wears an XS tried it on, it hurt the sides of her head as well. You have to put your fingers in the helmet under the visor as you put it on to force the speakers down, as to not have them flip upwards...

Either way - fairly uncomfortable. The helmet came with no cover on the battery compartment and after a quick test ride, the telephone button fell off the side of the helmet...

I really wanted to love this thing and get some good use out of it, but it's on its way back for a refund...

Have to say that I'm quite surprised by the number of bad reviews for all of the bluetooth helmets I've researched online... Has anyone made a good one yet?

I wanted to, and tried to love mine too. The best way to go is find your favorite fitting helmet and buy something like the Q2/G4.

I purchased a Vemar Jiano Bluetooth helmet and thought it was pretty nice. At the time I had issues with volume when paired with my iPhone but that was a problem with the iPhones Bluetooth. I paired it wih a friends phone and it worked great.

I ended up selling it because of the iPhone issue (which I believe Apple fixed when iPhone 3.0 came out) and it had a bit of pressure on my forehead that was uncomfortable after about 45 minutes of riding. But again, I think that was just my head shape.

Overall, I would recommend it to anyone. The Bluetooth was very nice and I think the fit issues are just a personal thing.

I will say though, I use a Blueant Interphone 4 now which you can place in any helmet and it offers quite a bit of nice functionality that I have not seen in the embedded helmet systems.
