There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. My own Guts and Glory Ryde??

My new Limited #582 and matching RT-622 Trailer sit at JP's Town and Country Sports Center in Cement City, Michigan. Old RT PE#528 and I sit in southwest Mississippi.

I think I would have a fun time ryding PE528 roughly 1,000 miles to Cement City. Planning a stop at Tenn/Ms/Al border (Counce, Tn) 375 miles, overnight then another 653 on Monday to Cement City.

Weather indicates large probability of rain so common sense says trailer the bike up. After a little studying and measuring, it appears that the RT-622 will fit into the big Ford Excursion and put the new Limited back in the regular trailer.

What say all?

Scrap Common Sense.. What is the use of having a bike if you aren't going to ride it?? Good break in mileage and the Spyder Won't melt.:congrats: on the new ride..

I would ride, but I understand your concerns about the weather. From the dimensions, it is likely the RT-622 would fit into the Excursion. It is hefty, though, so you are going to need a couple of ramps and a helper...or several helpers without the ramp, to load it and unload it. Not many places to tie down the trailer, so you may want some chocks. Remember, there are no brakes on a trailer, so it can get away on ramps quite easily.

I loaded my trailer into a pickup truck with the help of one guy and I off loaded it by myself with a ramp. Easy as 1-2-3. In the bed of the truck we had to put the hitch up on the tailgate. One tiedown on the hitch and one on the axle tied off to each side of the bed.

Make sure you have lunch at Artesian Wells (next to Cement City HD) before you head back south.

Thanks for your thoughts. I am still leaning to ryde. :f_spider: Will take another look at the weather Sunday morning and see.

That's why they make Frogg Toggs. Departparting for Spyderfest with RT-622 in tow Tuesday morning rain or shine. :2thumbs:

Jester, Just to wish you a safe trip from another Mississippi Sypder owner.
Ride safe and have fun!

Rain is exclusively the territory of enclosed vehicles, with wipers, a heater, and good weather seals…. alternatively, a good motel… Just remember the folks in cages aren't looking for bikes in nasty weather… not that they do in decent weather, but…..

Y-Rider, I certainly got to check out my Frogg Toggs on the way up here. Not an actual Iron Butt, but for me it was as close as I can do. Left Natchez, Ms about noon Sunday and arrived safely at Cement City (1016miles) at 6:10 p.m. Monday evening. Rain about the last third of the way.

Lamont, I am proud of you even considering the Guts and Glory Ryde. I had thoughts of chasing you guys for one day. Now I know better:roflblack:.

Will finalized the trade later today. Looks like I will have more rain no matter which direction I go from here:dontknow:. More later.

When life gives you a lemon, make lemonade! Yesterday afternoon it was not raining in Cement City, Mi as scheduled. There were serious storms in Tennessee and Mississippi so I could not head home. Where to go.:dontknow: Well :spyder2:FEST of course! Boomed it southwest to Terre Haute, Indiana with only a few light showers to pass. Slept a little late and headed west under daunting skies for Cuba. Not too long after I noticed I was closing in on a funny looking 5 wheeled machine. My goodness, it was another :spyder2: RTS pulling its trailer like me. Since I was sure where they were headed, I pulled in behind and followed them to the next fuel stop. There I met Mike and Janet (Northstar) and shortly thereafter we arrived here at Spyderfest and I am having fun putting faces on handles!

So far an outstanding adventure for me!:ohyea:
