There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My New Spyder RT "Sea to Sky"

I received my new 2023 Spyder RT Sea to Sky in the first week of April. It had actually arrived at the dealer in late February. I wanted to wait for better weather to get it home once the snow melted and my driveway dried out. I traded my F3 for this one. The F3 was a great machine and I'm sure I will miss it. However, as I get older I do tend to like the comfort features. The Sea To Sky has all that. So far I'm enjoying it and already added all the Farkles that I ordered for it a while back. Mostly lighting upgrades from Sling mods and Value Accessories, a Show chrome backrest and isolation fuse box, a Spyder Extras handlebar docking station, a Lamonster Garage handlebar cuff and bottle holder with Ram ball to mount my phone holder, a trailer wiring harness that I made to hook up my Rt 622 trailer to name a few. These are pictures of it that I took while out on a ride today.

Congrats on your new Spyder … I love the new color.

Have you owned a different brand backrest before? I had the BRP backrest on my F3 and have been thinking about the Show Chrome for my RTL …. But wanted a compared opinion on the 2 first.

Also what trailer harness did you go with? I am using the SC isolation block but don’t have hazard lights on my trailer … still trying to resolve the issue.

I have my trailer harness connected to the show chrome fuse box. I Added a 5 wire to 4 wire converter to the fuse box and then made an extension that I ran to the back of the Spyder under the left side storage compartment with a Hopkins four wire flat connector. I tested it on the trailer and all the lights are working so far.

I had a show chrome backrest on my F3 and liked it. I added the one for the RT on my new Spyder as well. I like the fact that you can make more adjustments with the SC backrests to fit your comfort needs.

What brand 5 wire to 4 wire converter did you use? I have the Wesbar brand which I saw on Value accessories but out of stock so I purchased it elsewhere. I also have an extension purchased from Harbor Freight. All lights worked perfectly worked perfectly on my F3L with different connectors.

I don't think you ever answered my last question about the harness that I posted in your thread about this problem.

These are the two Items that I purchased from Value accessories. I made my own harness that connects the four wires from the 5 to 4 wire converter.

I used this connector from etrailer on my home made harness that goes to the back of the Spyder under the left side storage compartment. I like this connector because it has the built in test LED lights so you can see if the connections are all working for the running and turn signal lights. I'm not sure why your hazard lights are not working.

The green color looks good. Had they had it in 2022 I probably would have bought a S2S instead of my RTL. You need to get that signature picture updated now.

There is a reason that I keep that picture in my signature. That was my 1st Spyder back in 2008 which was the red 998 GS SM5 offered as a late entry. They already had the silver and yellow models out. It is more nostalgic for me and had many good memories with that Spyder. I wish I had kept it, but I can't change the past. So me on that Spyder keeps the memory alive.

Sounds good to me. The picture stays the same.
