• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My new seat

Last week Joe and I headed out to Russell Day-Long in Shasta Lake, CA to get my new seat on my F3T. We got to town just before the rain started and we took a quick ride to see the Dam. We checked in to the Shasta Dam Motel, not a place that I would recommend to anyone but it was really close to RDL which made it nice given the rainy weather.

We arrived at RDL Thursday morning and I introduced myself to Jay who said to me “wow, you sure are well known in the Spyder community”. He went on to say that five or six people had mentioned me when they called there. We also met the owner, who is a Spyder rider, and I invited him to join us at the NorCal Rally. I do believe that he will be donating a gift certificate for the event.

After a test sit on the new seat we headed out to breakfast and back to the motel for a nap. The seat was all ready by 4:00 and we spent the night and headed back south on Friday. It was a great experience and the seat is awesome. If you’re thinking about doing a ride in this year don’t wait too long to call, their appointments are filling up fast.

If you're thinking about shipping a seat don't wait any longer either. I emailed my form yesterday and got a reply today that my build date is 3/30. The seat looks good can't wait to get mine. I searched and searched but did not find one bad review for the RDL.

I have had a RDL seat on my last three bikes and currently have one on my F3T. My wife has one on her 2010 RT. We love them and highly recommend them.

The Build date for mine is next week! :ohyea: Can't wait to get it! I would have loved to "ride-in" to get mine, but it's a bit chilly right now to ride 2500 miles one way. ;) So, exactly how comfy is your new seat, Ann?

Beautiful looking seat, Ann. For as many miles you put on in a year, you deserve it :clap:I'll be checking it out in Toumbstone

congratulations....🎉🎉🎉

Is that the kinda seat you wished you had a long time before now.....:roflblack: it's nice looking must make for a comfy ryde.....and do alot of that....:yikes:

When I got mine, we had reservations at that same motel, then said we would not stay there. We ended up in Redlands, a bit of a drive but well worth it. I love my RDL. I won't be giving it up. Most comfortable seat I have ridden on.:clap::clap:

On our way there and back we stayed in two really nice Best Westerns for free, using half the normal points for a free night, so that made up for the crappy Shasta Dam Inn. The room actually had a kleenex box mounted to the wall directly above the headboard at the center of the bed. I did not remove my socks in the room.

Seat looks very nice and comfortable! Off topic...How does the F-3 compare for you against the RT you had? Sorry if I missed a post on the subject. A keeper or back to an RT someday?

Pat

You are brave by removing your shoes

I heard about that motel so I stay at the Best Western in Redding. It's only a few minutes to Russell. I'm on my 7th RDL and 5 of them have been ride in appointments. IMHO there is none better.

The F3T is definitely a keeper, the only downside is the lack of storage.

hahhahahaha !

hahhaha do you want to know why it might be there instead of say " next to the table " ?
