• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

MY LUCKY DAY

BLUEKNIGHT911

Sadly Passed Oct 2024 - RIP
Was yesterday actually. I just bought a new riding jacket..thanks FaranH it Rocks....Like you...So it claimed to be wearable in three seasons ...Summer being one of them, it was 82 degree's a good day to test that claim.....I rode around for about 50 miles 30 mph to 75 mph.....and I didn't sweat....Now this is a rugged textile jacket w/armor , it's waterproof, but the center opens up and the rear has two zipper vents and damn it really works.....and it was only......Wait for it .......$43......But that's not my lucky day story......As I was going home I noticed my right fender scrapping the tire , so I stopped and checked.....the front fender bracket had broken off at the weld...oh s**t....so I checked my available "stuff" and found a 1/4 in.x 3in bolt that I could use to put in the bracket tube if I could get the head off...A nice guy with a skillion tools stopped to ask what's sup and together we got the bolt head off and patched up the bracket and I made it home OK....So my recommendation is ....the hole is a hair smaller than 3/16 so carry a couple of pieces of dowel to use in case of an emergency such as this....it could happen again ....my Spyder has only 14,800 miles so I was surprised it broke...I now have some dowels in case.......Mike......

Mike,

I only pack duct tape, baling wire, fix a flat, tire plug kit, small tool kit, and water.

Mike,
Sorry to hear that you had a bit of difficulty on the road; at least it was a relatively easy fix! Thanks for the heads-up about what to add to the parts kits!
Now... About the jacket... :dontknow:
