• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

next....

next came the more intricate mod

this is something I saw someone do on another forum: http://www.spydertalk.com/forums/topic/14688-madstad-footrests/

after doing some research and mustering the courage:

remove the right vent tuperware cover

drop the bottom pan cover - I drilled some holes in the cover to make it easier to cut out an area

after doing a sloppy cut out, I filed it to smooth edges

purchased some heat resistant grating which i cut to size to cover the opening

used heat resistant lock ties and fastened the grating over the cutout opening so nothing gets kicked up into the opening

i had to cut the back plate mount so that the down spout pipe could be attached so it fit up against the Spyderpops lower plate

yes, it was an ugly cut with a hack saw, but I filed and sanded down the edges to nice and smooth and that allowed the spout collar to snug up against the block off plate

motorcycle jack

I went to the local Harbour Freight store and purchased a motorcycle jack - made accessing the bottom plate SO much easier and I know I will use it alot for other mod installations

was on sale for $99 - great investment
