• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My First Accident - Ever...

Glad to hear the outcome was better than it could have went. The :spyder2: can be repaired. That's what insurance is for.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Indeed I feel blessed/lucky/fortunate or whatever you want to call it. I have a autistic teen son who sometimes rides with me. I am so glad he wasn't there this time.

I'm a new rider (less than a year) but there are two rules I try to keep in mind; 1) Mind your distance. 2) Always have an escape route. I guess it pays off to read your posts ;)

AAA is saying in the State of California rear-end accidents are almost automatically paid to the rear-ended vehicle. And the fact that I did not hit the guy ahead of me proves I was riding at a safe distance and speed. So it's just a matter of finding out how long it'll take to get my baby back on the road. I hate driving rental cars.:banghead:

BTW I did not use any accident sketch app or program. I use CorelDraw for work so that's how I created that sketch. The Spyder image was added thanks to the FOBO TPMS Custom Images post by finles

Glad you're all good

Yeah, it could have been worse. Don't know why these people who have car trouble don't just pull onto the shoulder. That's what it's there for. I got a flat once on the interstate going 65 mph and managed to pull onto the shoulder. Crazy stuff out there.

My-First-Accident-Ever
