• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bought the Spyder on 7/3/10 and passed the 10,000 mile mark today, 7/8/11. I've never put on miles that fast before, but the comfort of the Spyder is the reason. I've had trips to Vermont and home, Spyderfest and home, and now we're on a 3+ week trip that will be over 4,000 miles by the time we get home. It's been an interesting and fun year!

I know what you mean.

Yep,
The stability of the 3-wheels as well as the anti-lock brakes had me putting more miles on my spyder when I had it. Loved it.

Shanty Creek will be beautiful. But we will just be back from a BMW rally in PA - thanks for the invite, though.

Your mileage is truly impressive! :2thumbs:

Way to go Dan! Have a great trip and be sure to post some pictures.

Wish I could post pictures during the trip but it's been a battle. Many of the places we've stayed have not had high speed internet - or no internet at all. I've used the iPhone as a wi-fi hotspot, but even the usually reliable service of Verizon is marginal in places like East Glacier and Gardiner, MT. What I've done for our kids is take a photo with the iPhone and then send it when we have coverage. Don't think I can send an iPhone photo to the forum, though.

Anyway, traveling through North Dakota during the flooding was an adventure itself, as well as a short journey to Saskatchewan when we literally could not find a motel room in North Dakota. The Canadian customs people told us we would have even worse luck in Sask. so we headed south and then west again, ending up in eastern Montana after over 14 hours in the saddle. But we found a room!
