Okay, I had closer to 10,000k on it but I did get the oil changed at the 6000k and now I have to do that again. But I digress.
Okay here is a list of everything the dealership did for the 6000k service and the labor costs:
Checked Valve Clearances-all were within specs no adjustment needed
Checked brake fluid levels
Checked Tire Pressure
Checked Front End Alignment
Checked Front and Rear suspension for any problems
Checked for any lose nuts or bolts
Checked Coolant level
Checked for loose hoses and clamps
Checked Belt Tension with Harmonic tester.
Checked Wheel Lugs
Checked Battery Terminals and Load Tested Battery
Checked Charging Rate, good at 14.5 VDC
Checked all Cable Freeplay
Checked all Sensors for correct settings
Test rode and checked shifting and clutch operation
Hooked to Laptop and checked for faults
Checked Braking
Checked all Kill functions
This part of the job was 2.5 hours of labor at a cost of $222.50 and 11.13 in Supplies.
While I was there I also had the following warranty work done. They put in my new instrument cluster, if you remember correctly I have been riding on a temporary used one after mine went bad.
They installed a parking brake kit as a recall for my bad parking brake. It works!!! YEAH (so far anyway, I'll keep you posted)
During all their checks they found my brake pads needed replacing, (I knew that, they have been warning me for the last two times I was there) It was nice though because they have a new lube to put on the brakes from BRP so taking them apart is a warranty thing for that recall and then they just went ahead and installed my new brake kit and pad. My brake kit was $71.98 and the pads were $35.99.
So I left the place having paid out of pocket $348.75 for all parts, labor and tax. I don't feel like that is out of line after having read some other posts on this issue.
I thought others might like to know this for their reference.
