• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Music while riding

Love that Rock & Roll at 66 years young and growing up in the fifties and sixties it has been a problem to not be able to listen to the radio (when riding on some back roads (no reception). I have not had a solution that worked for me Until now. I have head phones in my helmet and a smart phone and have had it set up so if I get a phone call on my droid I can answer while riding down the road at 55/65/70 . Until my nephew showed me the Pandora app. Just plug in and pick the style of music you like and as long as you have cell reception you can have music and it goes off if you get a call. I just love riding with the music. Easy simple and it works. :ohyea:

:2thumbs:
I'm working on hooking an XM unit up in the top trunk...
And my IPod is just FULL of stuff that's unfit for human consumption... :yikes: :D

Yup!
I picked up an XM Onyx from Sirius...
I also bought an MP 3 input cable from BRP
The plan...
Mount the Onyx in the top trunk; using BRP's MP-3 player pouch...
The antenna can be attached inside the top lid somewhere, and I have the power port and input cabling to tie the unit into the bike...

I use Pandora every day I ride. Will have to check out slacker I havent seen that one before. Also Spotify is the best but a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for i guess!!!:doorag:

Music..!!

Cheapest way to go is the mp3 or similar. Pandora is great if your near a wifi but kill us when data streaming. Will have to look into the others mentioned. The good thing is I like spanish and latin music and those station come in much stonger on the radio. Now when in the mountains I love the sound of my engine shifting through the twistees. May not be the music your looking for. Good luck lots of choices...

Music

Pandora or iTuens radio when reviving a signal and iPhone music when no signal (the iPhone will automatically switch to iPhone music when no signal.

I lately start using also playlists from YouTube, there are few app supporting it.
