• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mud Flap on hitch

For those of you with a BRP hitch, does the mud flap do an adequate job in spareing your trailer of excessive tire spray or in there a need for one between the hitch and the bike?

Can't say... I pulled my first one out on the first :spyder2: a few weeks after I got it because every time I came up my driveway or up an incline it scrapped. Then on my second :spyder2:, the first thing I did was remove it.

Well, at least I know what doesn't work!
Thanks!

I have no issues. Some have...so they added an extension to their mudflap, like a brush type, that extender to the ground. Some have completely replaced their flap with alternate material that takes the scraping better.

Some owners have made a few adaptations to it... from extending the flap on the back of the :spyder2:, to adding an plate below the hitch covering a section of the gap between the hitch and the wheel... maybe others can post pics of their inventions. Me... I just clean!:coffee:

No, if you hit any wet roads the trailer gets filthy. I made a plasic pieces that mounts to the bottom of the hitch that cut it down about 75%. If the roads are dry it stay more or less clean.

No, it doesn't. I extended the rear bike flap to help that. I also cut off about 2 inches from the hitch flap to keep it from scrapping driveways, speed bumps, dips, etc.
