• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone have an MP3 player that works in the 2010 RTS? Do you need another cable to connect it to the RTS to run it through the bikes sound system?

Thanks in advance

MP3 Player

Your best bet would be an Apple Ipod or any MP3 Player that will connect to the Ipod connector

BRP Do a lead that connects to an Ipod into the socket in the Rear trunk

See Using the Audio In Jack . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 49
In the Spyders operators guide for details Copied below

1. Audio in jack
An audio player such as a CD player,
iPod mobile digital device or a MP3
player can be connected in this jack to
be played through the audio system.
The iPod mobile digital device can be
partially controlled through the RECC.
Refer to 10) -
RECC (ROADSTER ELECTRONICCOMMAND CENTER) (p.20).

NOTE: An adapter (optional on some
models) is required to connect the audio
player to the vehicle audio jack.

I usually use my iPod, but I also have used my Lyra mp3 player, and have also plugged in my GPS. If you have an RTS you should already have either cable you need. If you have an RT-A&C, you just have the iPod cable. You will need the 3.5 mm cable P/N 710001406 to connect a standard player.

Spot on, as usual. I run a variety of gadgets through my sound system, mostly my Pioneer Inno XM radio, but also a GPS, and MP3 player. The plug works well in any device with a headphone jack, you just have ono control over anything except volume. If you want full control, you'll need an iPod.
