• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Moving the spyder in the garage

For those of you whose garage lacks the necessary space to leave your Spyder parked where you drove it in, what are you all using to move it into a safer place i.e furniture sliders, etc.

I ask because I am finally getting ready to contemplate a purchase and I know I am going to have to park the spyder in a different area of the garage than where I will get off of it.

Thanks!

I BOUGHT THESE

I bought mine at Home Depot which no longer sells them but Harbor Freight does ........12 X 16 dollies rated for 500 + lbs ea......about $ 9 .00 when thet are on sale ( which is very often )..................Mike .................PS get three

When I need to move mine, I just release the parking brake and push/pull it where I want to go. I have a big garage and don't have to move them very often though.

Let's see..!!

if the space is very limited try the atv/motorcycle lift...20150126_113540.jpg that would be the bright yellow one...(sears craftman)..

I park them close to where they will end up and then push or pull to the correct spot. If I pull up on the trailer hitch a bit, I can pivot it around the front wheels.

Leaving it outside is the kiss of death for most motorcycles. Kills resale too, i never buy anything stored outside and is why you see stored inside or garage stored on a lot of adds. I would try and get a shed for it or something if you have room. I have a 2 car garage with some storage units on the walls and i can just fit in my car, my spyder and my motorcycle. Car to the left then on the right motorcycle first then spyder second, of course i have to back the spyder up when i want to take the motorcycle and there is not much room for moving around when the car is in there but at least everything is inside.
