• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Move lumbar support on stock seat?

I know this has been touched on in several places, but nothing current, so it seems.

I'm looking for pros and cons of haveing a shop resculpt the stock seat to move the lumbar support rearwards 2-3 inches.

I'm 6'4" and I feel as though my sitting position would be more comfortable with my but back a bit.

ALL comments are welcome (except those about my butt)... ;)

A local trim (auto/motorcycle upholstery) shop could likely do the job for you. Some will even change or supplement the foam if that is needed. Custom seat builders like Russell Day-Long will completely rebuild your seat to your wishes (within reason). My feeling is that if you can get the work done reasonably locally, it would be worth a try. At very least it would tell you whether what you wanted actually works for you, in case you decided to purchase a custom seat later. If the worst happens, you could still send the seat base to Russell Day-Long for a rebuild, or you could purchase a Corbin seat. What have you got to lose but a few bucks? Go for it!

6'4" here too. Sent my seat out to Russell Cycle and got it redone. Called a Day Long seat. Pricey, but worth every bit.
