Mount Greylock ride and other places

So I was reading a post by SpyderByter about a Mt. Greylock and thought I go check it out. I took the Taconic Parkway and it was a great ride. I got to the road going up to the top of Mt. Greylock and saw this sign:yikes:. Well the road I was on wasnt paved so my map ap sent me to the wrong place. I spent another 2 hours trying to find the other 2 routes I saw on the you tube videos and I got frustrated and gave up.
I saw a sign for 7N and went for it. I need to tell you that I have travel route ADHD. I usually can't stay on a planned route. I see that signI just have to go.
I did make it to a top of a mountain though. Great views from the top I eventually ended up at St Albans City. I saw this along the way.

The next day I took the ferry across Lake Champlain and went to Lake Placid to see the famous alligators. Didn't find them.
I spent the rest of that day ridding all around the Adirondacks. Stayed the night at a friends and got home on saturday afternoon.

I was only going for a daylong cruise!

Moral of the story? Don't let me lead any group rides or you might be gone for days!

Think I know where you went wrong, you missed it by that much as they say, but sounds like you had a good ride anyway, if you ever try again PM me and I'll show you Greylock and some other nice rides around here.
