• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

More comfortable position for foot pegs

We posted this information last year on another site but someone asked about foot position while looking at my wife's RT today so I decided to repost the information here.

My wife has nerve damage in her feet and the pegs on her RT always seemed to hurt her feet on long runs. The stock RT pegs are canted forward a bit and coming to a stop always caused her feet to slide forward and hit the bad spots on the ball of her foot.

We looked for boards but no one is making a reasonably priced (under $300) flat board to replace the factory pegs. After looking things over I removed both pegs and did a little grinding work on the corners. Then I put the left peg back on the right side and the right peg on the left side. I used slightly longer bolts to hold the rubber and counterweight in place as the factory bolts are just a bit too short when the pegs are reversed.

I also found that the metal threads on the piece inside the rubbers is made of very soft metal and would be easy to strip when putting the bolts back in.

As a result the pegs are more level and my wife is more comfortable with the riding position.

No need for pics as you can't see the difference when mounted.
