• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Miracle Ride

It's been a busy week for me, so I haven't had a chance to post this sooner.
Last Sunday I went on the "Jeff Wyand Miracle Ride". This is a motorcycle rally which is organized annually to raise money to supprt the Vermont Childrens Hospital at the Feltcher Allen Health Care in Burlington Vermont. It was a hot day out 92 degrees and humid. We haven't had much of that kind of weather here in this area this summer, but we had a good day of riding nevertheless. The ride started at my dealership in Essex Junction where about 40 or so bikes gathered for the ride. Myself included, we had three Spyder's along for the ride. We registered for the ride, $35.00 which included a benefit ride T-shirt, a pin and a barbecue lunch at the "Naked Turtle Bar and Grill" in Plattsburgh New York where the ride ended.
I was introduced to this nice lady by the name of Nancy, who was one of the volunteers for the event that I had the pleasure of taking with me on the spyder for the ride. She wanted to go with one of the riders so she wouldn't have to go by car. So I was asked by my salesman at the dealership if I wouldn't mind taking her, so I gladly offered. We had coffee and donuts at the dealership before we saddled up and headed out for the ride which was about 160 miles to our destination. We were police escorted going south through some Vermont villages and country side and gathered at the Walmart parking lot in Ticonderoga New York Where we took a break with about 700 more bikers. Man that was a lot of bikes! We again left by police escort and headed out with all the bikers going on Route 9 north along a scenic ride near Lake Champlain. We went through several villages and towns where fire trucks and other volunteers were on hand to stop traffic at lights and side streets to let all bikes through. We were waved at and had pictures taken from many people along the streets. It was a sight to see that many bikes in formation going down the road! We finally reached our destination at the Naked Turtle in Plattsburgh. We gathered for the barbecue and had tasty burgers, hot dogs, salads, baked beans and beverages. In the bar area a live band was on hand for our entertainment as well. I stayed for a while and me and Nancy headed back on a solo ride and took the ferry across Lake Champlain so we wouldn't have such a long ride to get back to Essex. I guess I can add this up to a great day and it was a "Miracle Ride". Me and Nancy have made a nice friendship and really enjoyed each others company. We have another Spyder ride planned together tommorrow for the day. I'm not sure where yet, but I'm sure It will be fun!
