Millions of years ago a series of cataclysmic tectonic shifts created the region now known as the Sierra Nevada Mountains. People began to carve majestic roads through these mountains, which lead to magnificent passes, including Sonora Pass, which have become some of the best riding on the planet.

will have to see if I can ride that far. at this point I can ride only about 1 hour.
Great area, lived in Calaveras county for 3 years. There are no bad rides (some bad roads) but it's all good.

Sonora Pass

It may still be closed but I'm sure it will be cleared of many , many feet of snow by the time the NoCal Spyder Rally happens. Last year there were still patches of snow. This year there will be A LOT more.nojoke
