There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. [TD]I wanted to send some sort of holiday greeting to our friends and colleagues, but it is difficult these days to know exactly what to say without offending someone. So I met with my solicitor and crisis counsellor yesterday, and on advice I wish to say the following :

Please accept with no obligation , implied or implicit , my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress , non addictive , gender neutral celebration of the summer solstice holiday practised with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious / secular persuasions and / or traditions of others, or their choice not to practise religious or secular traditions at all .

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2012 , but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great ( not to imply that Australia is necessarily greater than any other country ) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee .

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms :

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/ him or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. The wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher .

Best Regards ( without prejudice )
Name withheld ( Privacy Act ) and partner , and the 2 offspring of said liasion , not meaning to imply offence at those same-sex relationships which may not yet have devised methodology to procreate .

(This warm term of endearment is not to be confused with any brand of lager, nor is it to imply that the Qld. brand of lager is in any way superior or preferential to any other brand of lager)

You're so right. It's hard to even speak without offending someone. Merry Xmas

If it wasn't so true it would be :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:. Whats this country coming to when the few can tell the many what to do ? Our schools have banned Christmas trees.

I'm sorry to inform you that your greeting has some potentially offensive language in it with your mention of the celebration of summer solstice please edit the language to include those of us in the northern hemisphere. :roflblack:

:agree: Perhaps "Summer and/or Winter solstice" will keep everybody out of trouble... Run it past the "Lawyers" and let us know if it passes muster! :D

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Without prejudice or bias, after sampling most of the lagers, multiple times in Australia, that the Qld. brand of lager, in my humble opinion, is superior and preferential to any other brand of lager. Don't get me started on the Qld. brand of rum...

Like, if you cant accept some seasons greetings, and get some xmas love from people out in town then I cant help you!

I remember when our fore fathers were about some free speech, wonder what happened to that action.

The few do seem to rule the many, so like... I wanna make a shirt that says "If you dont like my mentality, you have the ability to move away from me, or file a loving restraining order"

But Im kinda cool like that.

ANYHOW, HAPPY FREAKING HOLIDAYS AND SEASONS STUFF... Now go ryde your bikes!

It is sad that we have to be so politically correct in order not to offend "potential" offendees.

I guess I will be one of the first people who the 'truth squad" comes for, if things get much crazier. I don't try to offend others intentionally, but I don't change my speech in order to be "politically correct" either.

I still read the 2nd Chapter of Luke every Christmas eve and also watch one of the old versions of a Christmas Carol. Each is in keeping with what the holiday means to me. I am not offended by those who do otherwise--that is their choice.

I would like to wish everyone here a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.

:agree: also, and would add, right of the speech police to be offended by my words and or beliefs is completely offset by MY RIGHT to my words and or beliefs.

Merry Christmas. Happy Chanukah (Hanukkah). If you do not celebrate either, Happy Whatever. I have the 1953 version of A Christmas Carol on cd as well as the George C. Scott and Patrick Stewart versions. I don't have the '38 version. Also liked "Scrooged" with Bill Murray. White Christmas with Bing.

:2thumbs: The Patrick Stewart version is also great; as the the '53... (Talking about movies like wines!)

Scrooged and A Christmas Story are always on the "Must-See" list as well...

Yes, my oldest daughter got me Christmas Story last year. Of course I always have to watch Rudolph, I like the abominable. Even have an ornament of him on the tree.
