• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just curious to know the mileage on bikes that had parts melted? Would like to see if there is a pattern.

Had my recall repairs done today...

Just had my repairs done today (Elk Grove Powersports) and my master cylinder was "disfigured" and was replaced as a result. The vapor canister was melted and replaced as well. Bike type = 2013 ST Limited. Mileage = 4068.

7900 Miles; Master Brake Cylinder showing signs of melting, but no mayor damage. Evap canister undamaged. Out the same day.

I was at about 7500 miles when we found the master cylinder melted, trailered Spyder 700 miles to the shop to replace master cylinder and wrap everything....in the shop now and they tell me the canister is OK....I need to see it myself......we will take it apart when we get it home and look at it...interesting that BRP never once had us check the canister during our 2 to 3 week conversation before the repair on the master cylinder

Why are you folks having to identify what should have been known prior to your purchasing the machine?nojoke

Bought in June 2013

I had only 2000 miles when the Canadian Recall came out. When I checked mine, melting MC & Wiring Harness was severe. :yikes: Recall done but riding season over this year.

Check this link to see what my TECH did, lots of pictures....http://www.spydertechnician.blogspot.com

I had the first melted parking brake cable at approx 7,500 miles. Master cylinder was checked at approx 10,000 miles and was not melting. Parking brake malfunctioned again at 12,700 and bike burned to the ground at 13,200.

I don't plan to pay for redesigning a $25,000 Spyder....

Just asking.....how many have replaced their 2013 ST wind shield because of distortion ??? That was the first thing I did...I look over my shield...but in curves the distortion was crazy.....
