• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

omg!!! started my bike, went and put on my coat to go to work...forgot to kick off parking brake and stalled the bike..now all is dead no power...thought the battery might have failed so put on a charger and lights come on and it cycles but when i hit the start button a soft click comes from under neath and the starter doesnt turn over and the dash lights flicker in with a unreadable read out...getting ready to remove battery and have it tested..hoping someone has another thing to check..

pulling battery as we speak , however the click is coming from the rear of the bike and not from the battery connections...

not sure what the combination to removing the battery is but there is a clip on the back i cant figure out how to remove..i have the rubber strap off but the clip it hooks to puzzles me

Check..!!

quick check would be to hook up jumpers. If all systems work then the battery is your problem. Don't know how old it but they do vary with length of time the last. Good luck...

The clicking sound you hear is the starter solenoid which is just forward of the positive battery terminal. Make dead sure the bolts are tight on the battery then check the voltage. If you have 12vdc or greater you are good so far. Leave the meter leads attached. While watching the meter try to start it. If starting voltage drops way down and it still doesn't start the battery is toast.

You need 12.7 volts or better with the Spyder to have a fully charged battery. If it drops below 10.0 volts during cranking (With the throttle wide open to prevent starting), the battery needs to be replaced.

thanks to all for your help...it turned out to be the battery...lotsa voltage but when under a load it failed...another good thing is i learned how to remove the tupperware...not near as bad as i thought...new battery is in and took a nice ride....all is well..had a message come up on the multi gauge that said passenger interupt or something like that...lolol i forgot to plug back in the seat contact...all is happy and good...
